The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Developing, administering, supervising and evaluating comprehensive behavior programs for Division members residing at Arizona Training Program at Coolidge (ATPC), in State Operated Group Homes, and other Division contracted placements; implements relevant data systems for the purpose of collecting quantifiable behavior data to support continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of member specific goals and objectives

- Providing training and on-going clinical oversight to staff who meet qualification criteria to be designated Registered Behavior Technicians 

- Providing technical assistance and training to Division staff and Qualified Vendors specific to behavior treatment in serving DDD members in a variety of community based settings

- Researching best practices and establishes/implements policy related to behavior treatment and services to members with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.


- Knowledge of services and treatment modalities provided to persons with developmental disabilities (to include Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavior Assessments, Positive Behavior Support, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) related interventions, and Augmentative Communication systems)

- Knowledge of Registered Behavior Technician responsibilities

- Strong analytical, clinical, and research skills

- Assessment and organizational skills

- Skills in writing, reviewing, and evaluating treatment goals

- Skills in evaluating treatment data to assess progress towards goals

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team

- Ability to apply best practices in providing treatment and the development of policy

- Must have Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and qualify to supervise Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) or obtain capability to supervise within six months of hire

- Current license by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners or the ability to obtain licensure in Arizona within 12 months of hire to continue employment is required
