JOB SUMMARY:

The Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility (DBME) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Centralized Document Services (CDS) team as an Examiner Technician 2.

JOB DUTIES: 

-          Prepare client eligibility documents and categorize using bar codes for scanning

-          Upload documents into the Document Management System

-          Review documents for completion, date stamp and key to appropriate program

-          Ensure documents are scanned into proper categories to ensure client contact

-          Re-index documents scanned into incorrect eligibility types

-          Report equipment malfunction and alert CDS Helpdesk or Resolution Center  

-          May serve as lead to monitor or assist with work-flow

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

-          Imaging equipment (scanner, Multifunctional Printer, terminal).

-          Office procedures and practices; problem resolution techniques.

Skill in:

-          Communicating effectively with all levels of personnel

-          The analysis of statistical data to identify and prioritize work

-          The use of resources to problem solve and obtain positive results

 

Ability to:

 

-          Operate a variety of office equipment (phone, computer, fax machine, scanner)

-          Develop or enhance operating procedures to improve unit efficiency

-          Multi-task, adhere to deadlines, and provide satisfactory results

-          Apply scanning procedures and operate document imaging equipment 

-          Interpret and apply program rules, policies and procedures

 

SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S):

-          N/A

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: 

-          Have a current, valid Arizona State issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employee is subject to driver’s license record checks and must maintain an acceptable driving record, valid motor vehicle insurance and registration, and must complete any required training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).

-          Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees

-          Be subject to a search of Child Protective Services Central Registry Physical

-          Successfully pass background and reference checks. Employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions

Travel is required for training and meetings, which may require an overnight stay
