Responsibilities

The Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Child Support Services Case Manager Support. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Provides support to Child Support Service Case Managers; orders documents, researches information, scans/images documents

- Investigates and determines the location of non-custodial parents for the purpose of collecting child support, arrearage, and reimbursements

- Interviews individuals who are parties to the case; analyzes and evaluates information received in verbal and written form; researches, collects and inputs all pertinent data to case; drafts correspondence

- Determines appropriate documents/correspondence to notify custodial and non-custodial parents of pending actions

- Daily prioritizing of case management activities; updates the automated case management system

- This position has direct client contact and will handle establishing new child support cases on to the automated case management system; may assist with duties in the mail room, workshop, and front counter

- Responsible for excellent customer service with stakeholders, community partners, internal and external customers, peers and management; quality and timeliness of work products

- We are currently hiring for English and Bilingual Case Manager Support positions.

 

Qualifications

- Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel; office equipment such as scanners, copiers and fax machines

- Skill in using interviewing techniques and investigative procedures to obtain needed information; comparing/analyzing data from various agencies, documenting conversations to determine an appropriate course of action

- Excellent oral and written communications to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with a diverse group (clients, co-workers, attorneys, and other court and legal system staff)

- Ability to work independently and collaborate within general guidelines; apply rules and regulations to varying situations; use sound judgment; communicate effectively

- Ability to learn the Federal, State and agency laws, regulations, rules and policies governing the child support enforcement program

- Ability to learn selected automated systems; the Arizona Child Support Services case management system, manual and automated enforcement tools and interfacing databases

- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, performance driven environment; meet performance measures and data reliability goals
