JOB SUMMARY:

The Executive Consultant will be responsible for providing consultation, project management and business services to include leading projects in the areas of continuous improvement and strategic business planning.

JOB DUTIES: 

-          Manage high level projects and assist with the deployment of Arizona Management System (AMS) projects; coordinate and conduct a variety of special projects such as tracking and implementing of events.

-          Conduct extensive and intensive research in support of project objectives; write detailed reports and documents.

-          Provide technical assistance and specific information on Agency programs; attend events and meetings with other groups and agencies.

-          Coordinate activities with other organization units of the Agency; track and report activities in addition to preparing a variety of administrative reports on behalf of the Deputy Director of Operations.

-          Recommend changes to correct operation deficiencies or to improve the provision of services to the public; work with constituents to resolve concerns.  

-          Facilitate strategic planning and process improvement teams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

-          Data analytics, collection, synthesis and reporting; conducting research.

-          Project management; leading initiatives; continuous improvement.

-          Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook).

-          Human services policy and department operations.

-          Public sector administration.

-          Concepts and current practices of State government and government management, including legislative and administrative processes.

Skill in:

-          Providing a high level customer service; communicating with and serving a diverse customer population.

-          Planning, prioritizing and completing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

-          Oral and written communication.

-          Performing Excel v-look ups, pivots and IF statements.

-          Interpreting and accurately explaining federal and state laws, policies and administrative regulations to others.

Ability to:

-          Adapt to multiple changing priorities.

-          Establish and maintain interpersonal relations.

-          Understand the needs of State Government agencies.

-          Produce clear and concise documents and reports.

-          Read, comprehend, interpret and create policies and procedures.

-          Facilitate project and process improvement teams.

SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S):

-          PMP Certification.

-          Masters of Business Management or Masters of Public Administration.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: 

-          Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.

-          Successfully pass background and reference checks. Employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
