The Office of the Director (OOD) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Human Resources Analyst (classification: Personnel Analyst 2). The person in this position reports to the Staffing and Recruitment Manager. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Attending job fairs and outreach activities and reviewing resumes to qualify potential candidates, building hire lists, and assisting with the selection process

- Ensuring that the recruitment time-lines and criteria are met according to DES HRA and ADOA standards as well as ensuring the applicant meets the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) of the classification

- Updates Talent Acquisition and handles record retention, storage and archive per policy and procedure

- Drafting job announcements, reviewing and approving interview questions, scheduling candidates, and assisting and monitoring job interviews

- Handling written and electronic tests, verifying education, conducting background and reference checks, and initiating personnel actions timely

- Reviewing resumes for demotions and lateral transfers and ensure the employee meets the KSAs for the classification

- Conducting job desk audits, writing position descriptions, investigating applicant complaints and performing wage and salary surveys and analysis



- Background in the human resources with emphasis in the staffing and recruitment field

- Knowledge of Arizona State Personnel Systems, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems

- Ability to assess knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs) and competencies required by positions and classification, and identify qualified candidates accordingly

- Experience with applicant screening methodologies

- Outstanding customer service skills, as well as communication skills, that enhances professional relationships with hiring managers and applicants

- Ability to network and build relationships with professionals within and outside the organization

- Ability to manage multiple recruitment workflows in a fast-paced environment

- Completing actions timely and accurately

- Familiarity with classification and compensation principles
