Division of Technology Services (DTS), Information Risk Management (IRM) Administration, Shared Services, is recruiting for an Information Security Analyst to join our team. 


The Information Security Analyst manages security, account management, access control support and customer service for the Department’s computer applications, automated systems and platforms.


This position is responsible for activities related to account management and access control and performs activities such as: password management, account creation, modification and deletion of accounts and all such duties related to information/data security.  


This position will have a highly customer-centric roll and is responsible for answering, responding and tracking requests for services and assistance in person, via phone and electronically.   Position is responsible for processing and coordinating the resolution of trouble calls within an Information/Data Security Help Desk environment; position must be able to identify and escalate situations that require urgent attention.


This position will conduct security-related audits and assessments and communicate security exposures and safeguards to management as appropriate.

The position will perform research using available information and resources and redirect issues to the appropriate area, as well as, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies.



-          Performs user account access control and management activities and duties, that include creation, maintenance and monitoring of all types of computer accounts relating to the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS);

-          Performs duties by processing and coordinating resolution of trouble calls within an Information/Data Security Help Desk environment;

-          Creates and processes security incident requests, actions and/or reports

-          Performs follow-up activities and/or documents outcomes of incidents and  requests;

-          Assists IRM and/or outside entities (Auditor General, Internal Revenue Service) with information security monitoring audits and helps conduct tasks related to them when necessary;



Knowledge of:

-          Customer service and/or customer centric approaches or practices;

-          DES information security policies and procedures, specifically the DES 38 series policies and procedures.

-          Division of Child Support Services AND/OR Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility computer applications and platforms;

-          Any Department mainframe operations, applications and/or other operating systems. Example: ATLAS, AZTECS, etc.

Ability to:

-          Perform and/or learn user account administration, access control, maintenance and monitoring;

-          Perform and/or learn security account management actions by reviewing, analyzing and granting required access upon request;

-          Perform and/or learn to manage and maintain mainframe accounts by creating, modifying and deleting accounts as appropriate;

-          Write, read, review and understand written and oral requests for account access or account management;

-          Answer, process, document, complete and/or coordinate information systems trouble calls timely and as designated by Division policies, procedures and protocols;

-          Manage multiples assignments, tasks and priorities;

-          Work independently;  

-          Meet timelines and deadlines;

-          Work with individuals and teams across the administration and other Divisions.

-          Obtain and maintain a Level One Arizona Clearance Card.



-          The ideal preferred candidate will have work experience in the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS), information technology system security, access control OR experience in a data security environment. 


-          The selected candidate will be required to undergo a criminal history investigation. 

-          Applicants for this position will be required to apply for and show proof of receipt of a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card.

-          Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.  Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
