The Department of Employment and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced and highly motived individual to join our team as a Program Project Specialist II. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


- Monitor the implementation and performance of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training (SNAE&T) program and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) jobs contracted services, conducts case and local office reviews to ensure federal, state and contractual compliance.  

- Evaluate data and procedural adherence, preparing reports that outline necessary corrective actions and the justifications for said actions; as related to review findings.   

- Responsible for highly complex and technical work in monitoring the quality of the performance of the agency and for providing feedback to the SNAE&T program and TANF Jobs contracted staff regarding compliance to program specific policies, procedures, and contractual deliverables.  

- Research and analyzes problems and develops recommendations for management. .

- Establish and maintain effective relationships by initiating and coordinating meetings to provide information to resolve issues with contractors, programs, or other stakeholders within and outside of the Department.  

- Create and present reports to assist in strategic planning for program performance improvement; presents proposed modifications to existing protocols or programming, based on anticipated changes in economic or demographic circumstances; collects & analyzes data to produce monthly, quarterly, annual and special reports on internal performance and effectiveness of the program.

- Attend regular meetings, seminars and conferences that require frequent in-state travel and overnight stays.  





- Knowledge of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training (SNAE&T) program and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Jobs contracted services, principles and practices of programmatic compliance monitoring.

- Knowledge of federal and State laws, rules, and regulations as they pertain to the operations and activities of the programs and contracted services.

- Knowledge of computer programs and software used in tracking, reporting procurement, and monitoring systems and processes.

- Knowledge in principles and practices utilized in research, planning, local planning resources, government organization and procedures.

- Skill in application of programmatic compliance monitoring methods and techniques.

- Excellent oral and written communications; good interpersonal relationships as applied to interaction with contractors, governmental agency representatives, private non-profit and for profit agency/company representatives, citizen advocacy groups, clients, other department staff, and the public.

- Ability to collect, analyze, interpret data, and develop effective plans.  

- Ability to create and maintain effective relationships with those in the course of work.
