JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides a wide range of staff-assisted employment services to job seekers while maintaining client confidentiality. The Program Service Evaluator (PSE) performs job development, job matching, and placement assistance, determines programmatic eligibility and makes referrals to employer job openings, trainings and other services when appropriate. Additionally, the PSE will provide career guidance planning, conduct workshops, and deliver program presentations at orientations.

JOB DUTIES: 

-          Interviewing individuals to elicit information and assess skills, knowledge, abilities, work history and interests, and provide staff assisted job search

-          Job development, job matching, and placement assistance utilizing an internet based system. Discuss career opportunities and develop an employment plan

-          Write employer job orders and assist employers with recruitment of qualified candidates to fill their jobs openings and conducts follow ups

-          Provide Labor Market Information, career guidance planning, and develop individual employment plan

-          Conduct job search workshops and deliver program presentations at orientations

-          Prepare and submit program related reports to supervisor

-          Resolve customer issues and complaints and respond to customer inquiries and explain program service

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

-          State and Federal Employment Service laws, regulations, policies and procedures to include US Dept. of Labor and Employment Security Administration

-          Resources and support services in community

-          Social, cultural, and economic conditions of the areas served, and employer and community needs

Skill in:

-          Interviewing, verbal, written and interpersonal communication including public speaking and presentation skills

-          Researching and interpreting policy and procedure, problem solving and decision making

-          Gathering and analyzing data

-          Customer Service and computer and office equipment use

Ability to:

-          Maintain effective working relationships

-          Relate amicably with coworkers and the public

-          Provide quality customer service

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: 

-          Must have high school diploma or GED

-          Have a current, valid state issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employee is subject to driver’s license record checks and must maintain an acceptable driving record, valid motor vehicle insurance and registration, and must complete any required training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12)

-          Successfully pass background and reference checks. Employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions
