The Department of Employment and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced and highly motived individual to join our team as a Program Service Evaluator I. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


- Provide a wide range of staff-assisted employment services to applicants and job seekers which includes interviewing individuals to elicit information and assess skills, knowledge, and ability, work history and interests.

- Perform job development, job matching, and placement assisting utilizing an internet based system: determine programmatic eligibility and make appropriate referrals to employer job openings.

- Provide services for one or multiple programs under Workforce Services, Wagner Peyser Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training, Migrant Seasonal Farm Workers, Trade Adjustment Assistance and Foreign Labor Certificate.

- Write employer job orders; assist employers with recruitment of qualified candidates to fill their job openings.

- Provide Labor Market information, career guidance planning, and develop individual employment plan.

- Prepare and submit program related activity to supervisor.

- Conduct job search workshops and deliver program presentations at orientations.





- High school Diploma or GED

- Working knowledge of social, cultural and economic conditions of the area(s) served.

- Knowledge of resources and support services in the community.

- Interviewing skills, verbal and written communication skills; public speaking and presentation skills.

- Problem solving and decision making skills.

- Computer and office equipment skills.

- Customer Service Skills.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

- Ability to relate amicably with co-workers and public and provide quality customer service.

- Have a current, valid state issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employee is subject to driver’s license record checks and must maintain an acceptable driving record, valid motor vehicle insurance and registration, and must complete any required training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).

- Apply for and show proof of receipt of a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card that meets Level One requirements.

- Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees
