This position performs a variety of complex administrative tasks including, but not limited to , research, special projects, conducts studies, meets and confers with supervisors and coordinates management activities, exercises discretion and independents judgement with policies and procedures. Creates computer generated charts and graphs, researches and tracks assignments/cases and provides status updates to the manager. Summarizes reports, transmittals and documents. Compiles needed documentation and information from vendors for payment authorization for services. Creates and coordinates a variety of fiscal and operational reports, orders supplies, inputs and reviews time sheets, and represent the manager at meetings as needed.


-          Responsible for providing administrative support to the section manager.

-          Research vendors and obtain competitive bids using State contracts.

-          Examine and verify invoices and other purchasing documents.

-          Develop and maintain client service budgets on approved Individual Plans for. Employment (IPE).

-          Research and resolving discrepancies of billing invoices from vendors.



-          Knowledge of computer software applications and office equipment

-          Knowledge of interviewing techniques and procedures , filing and data entry

-          1 year of administrative experience

-          Knowledge of budgets and spreadsheets

-          Analyze and evaluation of documents, reports and statistical data, developing and utilizing resources and materials, reviewing and summarizing documents,

-          Coordinating and planning activities, leadership techniques

-          Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers

-          Appropriately work with material and information of a confidential nature

-          Use of good judgement handling complex situations

-          Ability to work well independently

-          Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.





-          One year or more of professional level accounting experience; or 12 semester hours in accounting

-          One year or more of experience working in Rehabilitation Services Administration or closely related field would be beneficial




-          Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired state employees

-          Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions
